    Watch the 2005 GF if you want to see an example of a player in the losing team being robbed of the Clive Churchill. Thurston played probably twice as well as DCE did last night (seriously) and would've won it by daylight had the Cowboys won. I'm pleased the judges looked past it this time.

    He had a hand in every try they scored and made 2 other line breaks/line break assists. His opposite, Prince, who also played well got it but if they swap teams, there's no doubt who wins it.

    My thoughts on the game.

    Wolfman had a shocker. SBW was having a shocker till someone had a word in his ear and said stop ball playing and just run the ball. Lyon had an average game I thought, or he just made mistakes at crucial times.

    The kicking games were weird. Tupou had a massive advantage over wolfman yet they kicked to him 3 times yet Manly repeatedly targeted Tupou.

    Did anyone else realise that for the jennings try Wolfman and Stewart had changed positions. Was it to nullify Tupou or was Stewart needing a rest. Either way, it backfired as I think Stewart would have dealt with it better if he was at the back.

    Yeah bit of a weird game for him in that he was awful by his standards and probably personally disappointed at his performance yet they still probably would've lost if he didn't play.

    He was lucky to fall on a ball that he took an air swing at earlier in the game.

    So fucking good, Spring St was going off.

    4 hour nap then off to the SFS tomorrow to kick on.

    Haven't even had a chance to watch a replay yet but at the game I thought we bottled it at numerous stages throughout the game and Manly really got us up the middle in attack, Watmough in particular with his footwork.

    Just a little too much class in the end, a comment I would've laughed at before the season kicked off looking at the two rosters.

    I'm 100% convinced that gower cost manly, as well as everything turning with about 30 to go, calls included.

    I can't believe toovey picked gower. He's been scared to use him all year due to being useless whereas hasson and hiku have added something most times they've played. Manly effectively picked a 16 man team from the get go.

    Best 24 hours of my life. I've been waiting for this moment for 11 years since knowing I was too young to enjoy 2002. We managed (thanks to the great James Maloney) to get into the players private function so not only did I get to celebrate my teams win, I got to do it with the players (oh and I got to lift the Premiership Trophy). They were all so fucking hammered it was hilarious. They were still off their faces this morning at the SFS.

    As for the game itself, I was as cool as a cucumber during the whole day and the first half but come halftime I was a nervous wreck. 8-6 just brought back 2010 memories. Once we were down by 10 I was sure it was over. I knew we can score back to back tries with ease but we have never really had to play catch up footy at all this year nor had our composure tested like that. The Roosters of old would collapse at that point so it was unbelievable.

    Oh and by the way, I am truly not ashamed to say Ricky Martin was fucking awesome. Did not expect it.

    We only rocked up to Bondi about 5 minutes before the players did, I think that was about midnight so we were no chance of getting in.

    We hired a limo so we got there pretty early. Rocked up to spring st with Roosterman blasting through the speakers.
