Oh wtf? Such bullshit. Last night I changed my team and took out Hauritz, Bollinger and Cook and put in Doherty, Siddle and Katich. It didn't change them though.

    Yeah, Yeah...cool story Bro.

  3. MASTERS S Masters

thanks, HAD to have the Victorian in my side

Prior's a better bat than Haddin and it's not really going to reward the fact that Haddin's a conclusively better keeper.

****. I had Siddle in my side but saw that I could get Broad for the same at the last minute. shiiiit.

  6. BigDougy DG Dafter

I just listened to the hype, and believed Siddle wouldn't play, so never even thought about picking him.

  7. Cribbage RG Cribb

Was announced yesterday he'd play tbh.

Nobody bother announcing he wasn't going to be as shit as usual.

Man, I used to think Siddle was over-rated, but the reaction to him being picked has led me to believe the opposite. He's a good bowler. He's not as good as Bollinger and he's not the most consistent player ever yet, but he's a damn good bowler, as he showed today.

well to be honest, we will have to wait and see how the Aussies bat, then we can get a true gauge of how everyone is doing. But i will take any lead i can get !

Cribb jumping on the Siddle Bandwagon

lolol -15. Broad and Strauss got ducks. Dicks.

He's capable of bowling like a damn good bowler, that doesn't make him a damn good bowler.
Michael Clarke took 6/9 once. I'm not saying this is a fluke or anything like that, but one stellar innings isn't going to change my mind.
He got spanked at home by Pakistan and West Indies IIRC and had a fair enough time over here.
He's better than average but pretty meh.

  14. Cribbage RG Cribb

I don't even think he should be in the team tbh. He's a good bowler though, and probably got a bit under-rated after the rightful rage at the selectors for leaving Bollinger out.

    DWTA.

He was hit a touch against the Windies, but his series against Pakistan wasn't all that bad. He was a bit ineffective, but it wasn't a horror series. He definitely not in our top 3 quicks in the country, but I think you're underrating him a bit. He was good in England last Ashes series, and bloody terrific against the Saffers. So far he hasn't really had a blemish on his Test cricket record as far as I'm concerned.

    West Indies... 3 wickets @ 71
4 wickets at 44 against India

As I said, he did ok over here and did well in SA (albeit across 3 matches 2 years ago).
Pakistan are really quite bad, so you'd hope he could've averaged < 31 against them as well.

His record isn't woeful by any stretch, I just don't think he's that good.

Yeah, I agree. He isn't that good, and definitely isn't all that talented. I just think you're underrating him a touch. He hasn't be spectacular - well until today I guess, and possibly that spell 5/20 odd in England - but he hasn't had a really bad series yet, and maybe that says something. Maybe not, I dunno. It just seems to me that he is dealing really well with the extra pressures of Test cricket, and as a result is having success at the highest level.

The West Indies series was horrific!

Yeah that series does have to go down as a really bad series.
