Only have one Lankan afaik. Did select him on good FC stats so obviously there is a big chance of being Lankan0wned, but IIRC he was later than most of them.
Captain Best Pick: Sachin Tendulkar - in round 5. Blasphemy. Seriously guys, I worry what some of his fans would think. Wost Pick: Malinda Pushpakumara - Overall Squad Depth: C Some gems and some turds here. I don't think this team has the bowling strength or depth to be a real challenger this season. Some of the bats will likely dominate in seconds though. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/pBWcRqPesws?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Ryan Harris Dinesh Chandimal Rohit Sharma Chadd Sayers Sachin Tendulkar Johan van der Wath Sam Robson Murray Goodwin Darren Stevens James Adams Malinda Pushpakumara Yasir Arafat Morne van Wyk Baba Apparajith Janaka Gunaratne Stephen Cook Sandeep Sharma Nayyer Abbas
I think leaving it until Round 11 to pick your first spinner was the error within itself more than who you actually picked in Round 11 as such; poor drafting still resulted in a poor pick though. Narine springs to mind immediately as someone you should've picked instead though.
That's the problem with stat-based drafts like this. Everyone just tries to pick someone based on statistical performance alone when they've never actually seen some of these guys play. It's not just limited to Sri Lankan players either, there's just no way in hell someone like Nikita Miller is as good as people judge him to be.
Yeah, we screwed up by picking 3 middle order batsmen in our top 5 picks. In hindsight, we would've been better picking Sachin in round 3, and then a spinner or opener in round 5.
Was unsure about him since he's been meh in tests and only played 13 games. And yeah, we definitely left that for too late.
I think there were a couple that are better spinning options from his own country that weren't picked full stop.
I gotta wonder how much Jehan Mubarak's recent ridiculous domination of the SL leagues will count for. Like I'm now aware that the 16 team comp or whatever it is means sfa but I'm still curious as to whether averaging 90 in a shit comp will equate to something reasonable. Reckon it was my best pick itbt.
