    Apparently the deal with Gomis is this.

    - OL lets Newcastle offer terms to Gomis, and say they'll accept a bid of 9mil.
    - Newcastle and Gomis agree to a contract.
    - Newcastle offer 9mil, OL refuses and asks for 10mil.
    - Newcastle offer 10mil, and ask Gomis to lower his wages to pay for the deal.
    - Gomis refuses.

    fmd, only Newcastle.

    It may just be wishful thinking on my part, but for someone who is distraught and furious with his club, Bale has said a whole lot of nothing about wanting to go to Real Madrid, and a fair bit of stuff about planning on being at Spurs this season.

    Can't see why Modric would want to come back either, given all the issues he had with Levy when he wanted to leave. I'd imagine he'd have more than enough suitors to not have to deal with him again.

    I'd be fairly pleased to see a "Rooney + cash for Ronaldo" deal go through this season. Real are a bit short on strikers and we could use a better winger so it sort of makes sense for both clubs. Unlikely to happen unfortunately.

    I think Ronaldo already said he's leaving at the end of his contract.

    Modric finished the season really strongly for Madrid, was especially good in the CL. It'd be strange if he moved at all but I guess it's possible that Ancellotti doesn't want him. I reckon it's more likely that the rumours were just pulled out of some hack's arse.

    I would of course have him at United in a heartbeat. If the Fabregas deal doesn't happen I'd honestly be quite happy with Fellaini too.
