Yeah, then ALC players shouldn't sign them. They're totally optional, so I dont see the problem. EDIT: ALC players who think they might need to move to get a a bowl or something I mean. If you're happy to stick around for two seasons then why not sign them?
Think this is definitely a good idea. Gives the player the option to show some loyalty to their club which could potentially promote them up the ranks.
Only read some of this thread but seriously, WTF is vCash!? Who gives a shit about it?! It needs to be given an actual significance first.
It doesn't really, its to add interest but by the sounds of things it going be used pretty pointlessly. What should happen is that a salary cap is made. Create different price brackets for players based on their skill/rankings. Allocate teams the VCash and let the spending happen. Would allow every team to be evenly balanced and will stop the popular teams that come out every now and again with test squads dominating. Will certainly add more activity IMO too.
Seems like a good idea in theory, until you release that gun players will sign for pennies because they don't care about vCash. Edit: Never mind, didn't read that correctly. I think allocating every player a price could get kind of messy though. I think it's fine the way it is. Popular squads do dominate in real life and that's the way it goes - I think it adds a bit of history to Cricsim.
Not allocating every player a price, you group them then allocate it eg. 1-10 can earn so much and then 11-30 can earn so much.
nah, thats shit You can't go to someone and say, nah in fact you can't be with the people you like on the forum, they've already spent too much "money", and so have all these other teams with good members You have to go to the Crusaders instead, they're the only ones with money left/enough left for your "minimum price"
Good call IMO, as a contributing factor that'd be great. Take someone like myself, I don't play for the OD team but I am on Cricsim everyday more or less for a decent amount of time. I haven't currently got any way of getting into the OD side unless I post a shit load more, which I don't have time to do, so if vCash was another contributing factor personally I'd be far more interested in gaining some. Which would make the salaries a far bigger incentive. Of course vCash shouldn't be the main factor, activity should remain top of the pile, but as an extra boost it's a good idea.
What's wrong with having 1 dominant squad? There's never been a squad that's dominated for seasons on end. Its normally 1 team different each season.
Nah. That's kind of backwards. Should be given a big contract because you are good, not the other way around.
A club's only going to give you a big contract if they think you're worth it though, otherwise it'd be pointless. This technique actually gives vCash a meaning. Everyone wants as many as they can get, and a club has to carefully negotiate and plan who and how much to give.
But making a player better for money makes no sense. Clearly you aren't taking into account the drug addictions, alcoholism and jet set lifestyles that will surely accompany these big vCash deals.
Horrigan Cup CricSimmers are model professionals, goddamn it. They spend their valuable vCashes on new equipment to improve.
