Yeah I've already said that I have no interest in skill-capping teams; it'd be the single worst thing I could do to the contract system. If you put in the hard work to raise the profile of your club, or you go out and recruit a lot of new members who improve to an excellent standard, then I'm not going to punish you for that. It'd just create more player movement as people were literally forced out of clubs. I like the idea of creating extra incentives for people to sign, but I'm not going to set different minimum contracts for different players. It'd be horrendously dire.
Nah I definitely don't want to put clubs in a situation where they can make someone good just by throwing money at them. Definitely not happening.
Make it have a small impact then, say 25:75, vcash:postrank. And even so, it depends on what sort of budget you give clubs. You could easily make it so you can't just get good by chucking vCash at people, but it can be a small little added extra that you want. Realistic as well as having decent equipment would up your performance a tad.
Definitely not happening. I didn't post in here to have a discussion about it; I posted in here to let you know that having a discussion about it with Escath was pointless because it definitely won't be happening.
The good thing is that if you don't like it, you can just ignore it completely. The implementation of it might end up completely pointless, or it might do something minor. But it's definitely not going to be a negative for anyone because it's optional. Most people don't care about their vCash, but being offered more by a club will show they value you more or genuinely need you more, so that'd be a nice ego boost whether you cared about your virtual betting currency or not. And if you don't care about that either, then you can still just sign your contract as normal. It's a small incentive; it's not going to overhaul the entire contract system because tbh it works pretty well here already and we don't need radical shit.
Nah the shit Tyson was talking about where players could essentially be banned from clubs based on their skill level won't be happening. If you want to sign for 0 vCash, you'll be able to.
Oh so its just a little extra deal sweetner clubs can use to try and snare someone. But it has no effect on anything, but the amount they can bet etc
Yeah I think it'll be used more as an ego boost than anything else. There are going to be a lot of times when all the vCash in the world couldn't persuade a player from joining a club but if you're tossing up between two clubs and can't make a decision, making them enter a bidding war with each other to see which one wants you the most could be a tie-breaker. That's basically all it's intended for; I don't want to turn CricSim upside down.
