true, it would be gun though to have those 30 round offseason games again that was mad as, when simmage was massively at a low.
Their rookie halves have had a honeymoon period. Much like Mortimer and Robson last year, it wont last forever.
They'll do fine, sure they wont win them any grand finals and they'll probably struggle in the bigger matches but I don't think they ever had a honeymoon period it was just a simple case of not playing a 5/8 at half and a centre at 5/8. I think they've got a very underrated forward pack (not so much the media but fans) and with some solid backs that's more than you seem to need these days to beat more than half the sides.
That game meant shitloads to me too.. Picked a perfect week.. Won the jackpot therefore as no one else did just cleaned up 3k.
Very different imo, Manly's halves are actually creating a bit and playing some solid footy. Robson and Mortimer were always nothing, it was Hayne, everyone deep down knew Robson wasn't much, but he didn't need to be, a bit like Shane Perry at the Broncos back in the day. Mortimer was never anything imo, doesn't look to have the tools to be an top flight player, but there's still plenty of time.
