The U20's are just a breeding ground for the first grade side and that is how it should be, we shouldn't be strengthening the lower grades just because the first grade side isn't doing so well. Our priority should be the Warriors winning and just because we don't have a chance to make the finals anymore doesn't mean that our best players shouldn't be in first grade. If they are the best player in their chosen position then they should be there in first grade, regardless of how good the Vulcans or the U20's are going. Thoughts?
Going back to dominate grades they've already proven they're too good for isn't going to help them. Plying their trade in a tough competition will help them develop as players.
The Under 20's are a joke if you ask me, any player that's close to playing FG should be playing for there reserve grade team. That said Locke should stay in FG at the moment, I'd love to see him get a go at FB but that isn't going to happen. He's carrying an injury is he not?
Yeah I agree, but if a team doesn't have any chance of making the finals for their first grade team do you believe they should be put back to U20's so that they have a chance at a title? A lot of people have been saying this and I firmly disagree. This applies to any team as well.
yeah, he needs to stay in first grade it makes no real sense to drop him when he's done nothing wrong
I thought that if a player has played a certain amount of games he wasn't allowed to go back to the under 20's during the finals? If that isn't a rule I'd still say no, FG will help him out a lot more
What? I wasn't making this thread about the Warriors, it was for every team. It is about the U20's and first grade..
Locke's a good young player but slightly over-hyped...not quite a Benji Marshall or Sonny Bill....yet might ply himself better in his trade. A bit worried about his size but that hasn't hindered Preston Campbell too much...oh wait
