Vipers hope to go back to back Season 9 of Cricsim was a season full of great achievements particularly for the Vipers. Winning the season in the Bannerman Shield was something that they had hoped for like many teams. Season 10 is no different. New recruits, a new media manager as well as more and more input into the Vipers from James Torres is just something to show that the Vipers are still premiership favourites. Season 10 anticipates being as exciting if not more exciting than a back to back episode of Wipeout. The new recruits are what bring this feeling to the club as they look to contribute a fresh and optimistic outlook for the club’s season 10 hopes. As of the time of publishing the Vipers had secured four recruits; JM Hughes, S Das, SJ Nova and SLO Graham. JM Hughes who has come from the Stingrays left infamously after announcing to a Journalist he intended to leave little did he know he wasn’t as good as he initially thought. The Vipers provided him with that chance and has been recruited as a possible first class spinner which is interesting considering he has only played one Bannerman Shield match to this date. “JM Hughes coming into the side will produce added depth, originally recruited to play a role in our ALC side Hughes may just find a place in the lower order of the Vipers Bannerman Shield line-up to accompany The Vipers other 2 all rounders in CJ Devonshire and BS Storer” said Vipers Chairman of Selectors James Torres earlier today. James Torres also added “The Vipers are already known to bat really deep so he will further add to that and create one of the longest tails in Cricsim history. Hughes may well find himself being the #1 spinner within the Vipers Ranks after the sudden departure of HJ Bots paved the way for Hughes”. S Das comes from the Sticky Wickets to the Vipers which appears to be an astute signing by Torres. Although, it is unlikely he will play much Bannerman Shield this season but he is not to be discouraged to aim up and attempt get into the firsts team. As James Torres explained he will be a vital part of the Cobras, “Das adds stability into a fragile ALC line up and we are hoping he can perform with bat and ball, after not getting much of a bowl at the stickies we'll look to utilise his spin bowling to become a strength of the Cobras”. SLO Graham was a signing that the Vipers desperately needed especially after the slow decline of DN Boland. “The signing of SLO Graham is no doubt our biggest as the wicket keeping area has been our biggest weakness for a while with the slow decline of DN Boland, although playing in a championship winning side last season Boland was quite disappointing and we now have the missing ingredient to further our success” Torres informed the media after the announcement. SJ Nova is an unexpected signing by Torres. Nova is believed to have been influenced by one of his mates DA Eggman who is currently playing at the Vipers. No one was expecting the signing even R Gee who is the President of the Vipers. ”The first I heard about Nova coming over was when he signed the contract. He's a medium pace bowler though, we need a spinner which is really why we have signed both JM Hughes and S Das” R Gee said from his hospital bed currently recovering from a freak Basketball accident. Asked if there were more recruits on the way James Torres was hesitant to answer the answer but did add “we would of course love to sign a specialist spinner, the chances are looking slimmer and slimmer as time progresses but yes we still have some targets”. “I guess the morale of the Vipers recruitment story is, if you are a spinner watch out!” Former CoS Tom Delonge said jokingly. “I think our balance is good at the moment. We have senior batsman in Delonge, Luffman and Gee with younger prospects like Torres, McGrath and Graham progressing really well. Eggman leading our bowling attack with Blunder learning to now hit the pitch at least 4 times an over which is really promising and I’m very happy with our balance in experience” Torres added. This shows just how confident and how much hope they possess when it comes to the Bannerman Shield competition for season 10. “I can’t really see any reason why we can’t go on and win Bannerman Shield again. The only thing that will be slightly out from last season will be the bowling balance and heavily reliant on Eggman and Blunder to get us off to a good start but with arguably the best bowler in the comp in Eggman, I think our bowling stocks will be in very good hands with Storer and Devonshire to come on afterwards and either Hughes or another spinner in support.” The confidence of the squad appears to be sky high and the Vipers are all training hard hoping to be able to pick-up from last year. During the weeks leading into the seasons, the Vipers are looking at releasing profiles of all players just to add that extra bit of rivalry to this season’s competition.

Of the new recruits, you rattle on about yourself for the longest. Also, you're first in the list when in reality you're the lowest profile signing. C'mon man, a change in the ordering and the focus and it would have been a decent enough article. I've got nothing against your writing, but don't kid yourself that this is anything other than more another example of self-promotion.
