    I think we'll just give up our compo pick for Longer.

    Hampson --> Tigers for a second rounder is the rumour and apparently the deal is done.

    Either Henderson or White's going to get Collingwood's first pick IMO unless either

    a) somehow collingwood talk crows/swans into taking a third
    b) collingwood get SFA (read: 2nd rounder) for Shaw and just ontrade that

    I reckon Henderson's worth Coll 1st if the Crows tacked their third along while White's worth their second.

    You underrate Henderson. He didn't start playing footy until he was a late teen for one and was probably the best half back in the back half of last season. Strong rumours coming in that the hawks are after him which surprises me given I'd earmarked duryea to take guerra a spot and he's very, very similar to birchall (hendo) except less proven and more versatile.

    Wait till he's a pie or hawk next season and watch him. Bookmark this.

    19 plus another charity pick swap.

    And I'm actually fairly keen on Hampson now. Can play 1st ruck if Maric goes down and can also play in the same side as Vickery and Maric. We'll only lose #36 for him now due to compo picks anyway.

    Henderson AT BEST is worth a high second-rounder. That is going off of his most recent output which was very good.

    However, if you go by his career output, he'd be at best a mid-3rd rounder due to being an unfulfilled talent and because of the age factor.

    I'd rather keep him tbh, but he wants to go home :(

    picks are so so so overrated both in the AFL and by fans. Honestly, look at the hit rates of the picks and note just how rare it is for the kid to be a return on what you gave.

    No, they're not. Picks are all about risk vs reward. If you trade all your picks for mediocre players, half season bolters and 28 year old trouble makers you're going to win 0 premierships.

    Picks are not overrated, they're a vital part to team construction. Yes, some of them fail, but the chances you land a genuine A grader or two, rather than run around with a pack of B graders, is well and truly worth it - it's necessary. You need A graders to win premierships.
