    He is shit. Gave away a penalty in the ten minutes he was in to give the highlanders a sniff, a small sniff but a sniff nonetheless.

    Curious way for the blues to win. Running it from their goal line when leading by 4 points with 15 minutes left. 2 or 3 phases later Piri goes beneath the posts.

    Highlanders are losing because they have some sub standard players on their team. That number 16 for example must be the worst player in the comp. I wouldn't pick him for horowhenua.

    God the Blues were awful last night, so fortunate that the Highlanders were even worse. Good signs in Weepu running in support to score those 2 tries though. He would never have scored those tries last season as he was too fat/unfit!

    To be fair to him - he threw to the line out ok and he didn't collapse any scrums. However he was a nightmare in general play. Gave away two penalties which were blatant, seem dim witted on the second penalty and felt aggrieved by the decision, knocked the ball on from a simple pass, looked ineffective in rucks and mauls.

    I would not pick him for an NPC team and to be fair to the highlanders he is not their starting hooker.

    Brad Thorn needs to take his game to beast levels if they want to win anything.

    The Cheetahs beating the Stormers has really put them in a solid spot. I still have a feeling they'll probably drop off at some stage but they're producing really good results.

    By far their best season, could be a turning point season for them. Which is good.
