Meh. Not a bad list but the lack of a big headliner (except for OutKast) wrecks it. Wouldn't pay that much to see it.

Just compare it to the top 10 or so of 2012:

Jack White, Smashing Pumpkins, Bloc Party, At the Drive In, Shins, Kooks, Gossip, Mike Snow, Lana Del Ray, Explosions in the sky, Metric, Mudhoney

or 2011: Coldplay, Kanye West, Jane's Addiction, Pulp, Hives, Modest mouse, Mars Volta, Regine Spektor, Mogwai, Kaiser Chiefs, James Blake, Elbow

    etc etc.

2012's lineup is so much better, IMO.

The lack of post-rock this year is disappointing.

Bit devo to miss out on Grouplove, Asgeir and First Aid Kit on their tours.

Good taste Julian. I saw Asgeir on Tuesday night and he was awesome. I'm also really looking forward to First Aid Kit's Melbourne sideshow next week. I saw them at Falls a few year ago and generally adore their music; The Big Black and Blue is a stunning album.

Looking at the Splendour lineup I can't say I'm sorry to miss it. Last year was infinitely better.

Swear they were all billed as Splendour being their only Australian show, then the other shows were added when I was pretty busy and sold out before I even knew about them. Fucking annoying.

Actually just got back from Byron today, fuck it's a great place for young people. Might consider going to Splendour next year even though it's not really my scene.
