Yeah I have always said I am looking to bring in at least 1 new team next season. This season I think the reserve league should be able to run with a reserve team for each side. Next season, I will probably have to do what SR do and combine reserve sides.
Well there are 85 registered players, so there is no reason we can't. It will result in some CricSim provinces having to join together for the time being or sit out (which I don't want but if people start moaning about getting paired up then they will simply just miss out).
Ive got an idea that may bring a bit more interest from people who probably should like the sim but arent really interested in it, to quickly check in how theyve gone and the teams gone each week to break them into it, and make following it a bit easier. Have a Round Results Wrap thread. Which is locked and updated once each round closes Include the score of the game, and you have the usage of the points system that the sim spits out so you can use this to rank the players on the park 1 to however many get on the park. Easily done in excel Example of a post in there Match Thread Link Team A 2 - 1 Team B Scorer 1 5' .................Scorer 2 37' .................Player A Red Card 46' Scorer 3 90+1' Player Rankings. 1. Player A 2. Player B 3. Player C ... 25. Player Y 26. Player Z Doing that each week will make it heaps easier to bring people's interest into it, because tbh im not that interested in the commentary I just sort of what to see a score and how well I played. Ill still go into the thread and post shit, but this just makes it easier to access important information. The score of each match after the game isnt really that easy to find in the stats etc Ive found. have to spend a few extra seconds searching.
I don't think it is a bad idea. However, I would be concerned it would actually just decrease the amount of people that go into match threads. As all that information is easily available at the end of the match anyway.
Yeah but a lot of people just dont go into them at all because they cant be bothered looking. I dont think this would affect people who already post in match threads most weeks.
