With the sim I am using for SoccerSim there are limitations as to what I can actually do. But I would still be interested to find out what people would like to be involved in the sim.
What plans do you have apart from the standard season? Maybe we could have a world tour consisting of the best 16 players after the normal season and PC stuff.
The plan is to have provincial stuff. What the teams are exactly will depend on how many people re-register. IIRC Victoria and Queensland didn't have enough to have their own team last time round, there seems to be some reasonable interest from Asians though. So potentially, Britain, NZ, Asia and Australia will be the sides. If worst came to worst I would just do North vs South. The only slight problem I have with doing N/S is that in football there isn't one on one series (or none that I am aware of). I would be open to the idea of having an All-Star team tour too.
New sign ups would be good. I would like to have a 5th team if possible next season. Yeah there will be stats leaders.
Thought about possible entering a few more lower league teams just to bulk up the league a bit? Probably not a very viable option, but it just provides more competition for the small amount of teams that there are. Just an idea
I would rather bring in a couple more teams and possibly have to give sides a couple of fillers to start with than bring in complete filler teams. I think the games involving the filler teams would just lose any sort of edge to them. You could also end up with a filler team winning the league which would most definitely be dire.
Yeah, you're right imo. Even if there has to be a couple of fillers in the new team (if we get a new one next season), then so be it. More people will sign up, and with the more we advertise, teams will expand and new ones will be formed.
Yeah I think that's what I wanted my idea to be, but you nailed it on the head. I thought that could happen, and that would be dire! I reckon we should do that tbh.
My plan is to start the season proper next week. I don't really want to start up 2 clubs at this stage. As well as that the most interested blokes already have teams. Which means that the new teams would be pretty inactive, if I am looking to have post-counts introduced it would be unfair on the new teams as they would have far less activity in their sub-forums. I am looking at having a reserves league this season to run along side the main competition. So guys unable to crack the 1st team and free agents could still get a game.
Yeah callum there is about 9 keepers in the sim so there is plenty of extras. So we could start a new team next season. Also with the reserve league we can do what RU sim does, combine 2 teams together.
Reserves league should just be TEAM A v TEAM B, which are both comprised of players who are randomly selected by Callum. These can be reserve players and also free agents.
