    All tidied up and is working. Substitutions are happening automatically based on my predetermined settings.

    The only added complexity is around who is taking the kicks. At the moment, the substitution routine will assume that whoever replaces a kicker will take the kicks. That will probably need to change, but at least the theory is working.

    Nah - exnay the tactical substitutions - no one will miss them.

    I don't know why an if then statement wouldn't resolve the injuries

    If Hurricane gets injured replace him with Martyn etc.

    Usually there is only one injury so I don't think you need to overcook it.

    Sorry if I am oversimplifying it but I feel I am on a roll here and my suggestions are firing your imagination.
