Celts v England could be a goer, if the Celts get some half backs. There are 51 players in the OP of the Britain discussion thread, but it includes all the unsigned blokes like Golding, so we don't really have enough for 3 teams as things stand.
Unsigned players and players playing for Australia still play sub-provincial stuff for Australian states though. If you've got enough for GB A, then you've got enough for a two sub-provincial teams automatically. It'd just be a matter of finding an equitable split that wasn't completely contrived.
NZ certainly have enough for two full teams. GB would lose a few if South Africa or Celtics split out. Injuries are what complicate things a bit though. In terms of standard, GB Saxons and NZ A would probably be a similar standard to Queensland or Victoria. But mainly because of a few outliers.
can never remember if we have enough for north island vs south island or would wellington need to be included in south?
You'd be on the cards to actually split for CricSim if you actually had a way of splitting in half that wasn't so contrived it'd piss everyone off. North v South is the obvious split but you don't have enough blokes who'd want to play for South.
We don't have enough for a South Island team. And I don't like the idea of Wellington being part of the South Island either.
I'll think about it. It takes quite a bit of time for me to add players to the database. I still haven't added the Irish yet, so if you can do the regos before I start adding the Irish, it's a possibility.
Season Four will end as soon as the 3rd North vs. South game ends. Season Five contracts will open shortly thereafter. Clubs will not be allowed to sign more than 30 players until every club has at least 30 players. Unsigned players will be allocated to clubs based on who they've played for in the past. Inactive, unsigned players with a Post Rank between 1-50 will either be skill-capped or ineligible for Reserve Grade.
I expect Season Five to start properly in a month or so. In the meantime, we will have a Tour from the Ireland Rugby Union. Probably a limited number of exhibition games too. Probably CricSim Club XVs in a Cup type tournament.
