if he's so shit then domestic cunts need to stop him averaging whatever ridiculous number it is with the ball this season (along with CdG and Elliott himself this season). Wells is better tbf (edited him in) but Elliott isn't anymore.

bloke has no right to be as effective as he is. best 105kph dobber in the world. wish he would overachieve to the same extent with the bat and average more than his current 30 odd.

I really wanted to pick Ryan Hinds especially after he was cleared. But hard to say when or of he will return to FC cricket.

Same here. I retained no one from Jet version 1 :(

Don't think I've retained a single Carver from S2. Though given I had like 30 players have a contract, I'm probably forgetting a couple.

    Stuart Clark is the man.

I'm surprised you didn't pick Wheeler yourself given you picked Milne. I'm also surprised Gazza didn't pick Wheeler.

Considering how many Aussies went this one is actually fairly surprising.

Most of Australian cricket was tapped out really given we had a lot of Australians in the draft and some people just trying to pick players they've heard of. There are a couple of players who bordered on being useful based on Futures League performances alone though - Devoy, Stray, Solway and Dawson spring to mind. Obviously nothing great due to the standard of that competition, but worse players were picked in the last few rounds and I don't just mean the speculative future picks.

was allowing myself one indulgent pick each in the batting and the bowling reserves. left wheeler for gaz since like you i thought he would go for him. if i was picking purely favourites then i would have the set (milne/wheeler/small) if i could. tried for kruger too but got beaten.

I more meant that I'm surprised you didn't pick Wheeler instead of Milne.

milne is my favourite of the orrsome foursome.

wheeler is the better bowler i agree, though milne at his best is the best. pity he went missing after his A tour.

I was also thinking Ben for the last pick

  13. Skippos SM Morgan

Assad Fudadin, Sohaib Maqsood, Khurram Manzoor, Zander de Bruyn, Clint McKay, Kurt Patterson

    McKay got picked.

Very surprised no-one picked up Mansoor though.

I thought Zia ul Haq was a good for the future pick.

I think the people who knew enough about world cricket to realise this also knew enough about it to not need to make the 'future pick' though.

Athlai will keep the CPL going for the next decade

Stats look pretty handy tbf, though Pakistani domestic cricket is pretty bowler friendly.

Had never heard of him before just then ftr.

He's not all that big on retentions anyway though. Do you think Zia's going to be good enough by next CPL to be one of your five retentions?

Stokes for example went slightly early, but it wasn't a bad idea because he still has very real current value and the ability to improve in time for the mid-season database update, or to be a good retention for next season. Wasting one of your few retentions every season for five years on Zia until he's established Test player so you have a h4x Round 18 pick in Season 6 is definitely playing the long, long game. Especially once you account for the fact that he might not develop as you hope, or CPL might die, or CPL might take a big enough break to have another restart like this one.

I had no idea there would only be 5 retentions.
