Right, I'd like ideas for how to go for a SR provincial tournament. I've checked the stats, and the following splits have signed up for S3 GB: 21 NZ: 28 Aus: 42 That's based on a quick tally. Now, we're definitely going to have 3 teams - GB, NZ and Australia should all be able to get a good 15 together. The question is, are there any individual Australian states - either QLD or NSW that could put together at least 20 of a a reasonable standard on their own. It might make the tournament weaker in S3, but I'd rather get the provincial structure we can use for S3, S4 and S5 in place as the alternative is changing the bloody thing every season, and I have no intention to do that.
Australian players. If anyone can give me numbers of NSW & QLD players in there, it'd be great. Mousey? Great Britain? Nah. Victoria. Not having any of these shenanigans where you've got a different provincial loyalty in RU Sim than Cricsim. It'll make Provincial Subforums much better as they can sit across multiple sims rather than just for Cricsim IMO. Anyway, I count: QLD 17 NSW 23 (inc. Speirs) Victoria 6 WA 2 EDIT: Cheers Cribb... Should have used my spreadsheet with the provincial eligibilities on it. Forgot where I put it tbh.
Yeah, I know, I listed him as such in the original list. But in RLSim where Victoria don't have a team and he was forced to choose between NSW, Queensland and GB (a situation that's pretty likely here, too..), he chose GB, which was the second list was all about.
He'll have to make do with being Victorian then and not participating in the Provincial comp. I'm having RU Sim provincial eligibility the same as for Cricsim and will include Victoria & Western Australia within NSW/QLD if they get two teams. Crackdown on this flip-flopping crap. If you chose GB in Cricsim, that should be your eligibility for the whole site.
Yep - fine. Though neither Colesy nor Marto have yet signed an S3 contract, so they'll have to sort that out before they can play Provincial, but that bolsters the GB numbers up to a full 22.
NSW with an excess of props and no back rowers at all. Basically, they'll have 5 props in their scrum. Other than that, they've got an okay team. GB are sorted. NZ are fine - though having to play Heads at 2nd 5 or Centre is not good. QLD just don't have a decent 15. Even with the Victorians supporting them, they're struggling. No first-five eight.
