    Odd to think they wouldn't have made the finals if Britain hadn't choked in the last round.

    Yeah indeed; they definitely had a bit of a charmed life to get here. Britain lost to Asia to get them into the semi-final, then Queensland's best played went down injured and missed the semi.

    They had a fairly lucky series win against Britain in the Jae Taylor to start the season as well. They won the series 2-1 but their wins were by the margins of 68 runs and 6 runs, and in the game they lost they actually had to follow on and got hammered.

    Still, their two performances in the finals were awesome, Alec in the semi or not, so full credit to them. The odds for this game show that the performance was no fluke - if anything, they underachieved a little bit earlier in the season given the squad they had.
