S4, R1: Gamblers RUFC vs. Vikings (RS) (vBookie)

...Perry picks that up and runs at the Gamblers defence. Only 10m from the Gamblers line. He passes to Boland. Oh, he's fumbled that.

Knock on, scrum down.

Gamblers win that scrum without much effort. Hornby cleans up and passes to the nearby Tyson. Gamblers a bit disorganised here. Tyson is nailed by Delonge . Martyn and Man pile in and that's another turnover. Only Hornby and Read came in to support their man there.

The ball comes out to Andrew James who runs at the defence. Morgan tags him - a hint of offside there, surely?

Only 5 yards out, the Vikings attempt a pick and go. Ridd with the ball. He aims for Tyson, who does bloody well to hold him before Humble, Read, O'Neill and Welker pile in and force the turnover.

Good quick ball for the Gamblers here...

 

...The Gamblers have been keeping the ball in tight all game so far, but Hornby spots that they've got the space out wide. He makes a massive cut out pass to Ged King who remarkably holds onto it. He's got Adam Vago outside him, covering for Tyson who was in tight.

King draws in his opposite number and times a perfectly weighted pass to Vago. He's got acres of space ahead of him, but the whole field to run. The Vikings scramble across to defend, but there's no way that Jacobs can cover both Vago and his support in the form of Funkotron.

Vago sells a dummy pass to Funkotron and it's good enough to put Jacobs off the spot tackle. James comes across to cover, but only successfully steers Vago into the corner.

Vago with the opening try, and this game has been all Vikings so far. That's pretty much the Gamblers' first foray into Viking territory.

Tough conversion from out here. Taylor misses by a mile.
