The Victorians have come out here in a defensive mindset. They're opting for a big kicking game early on. On the 5 minute mark, Alessi puts in a great kick behind the NSW defensive line, it nearly dribbles into touch, but Jacobs cleans up only 3m from the NSW line. Under pressure from Diggler, Jacobs' boom kicking game implodes and only gains 10m of territory before hitting touch. However, a Dempsey steal at the line out releases the pressure.
