Unban Fiery so I can troll him imo.

My admin tag is for show only. I thought Heef has made that clear.

You obviously didn't see the replay. Harris definitely touched it down. So we were not robbed as it was a legit no try. So no complaints from me.

You could warn Fiery that he might be unbanned if Ritchie continues to want to troll him and a real admin gets wind of it.

Yes, t'was very odd. It didn't however cost us the opportunity. We got down to the other end of the park and that's all we needed. Carter missed, that's simple. Had he got it then we would have won. Really wasn't much in it and there's no point blaming it on any certain plays because it was a very mediocre game in general. Heck in hindsight the Wallabies should have never have let us get an opportunity to go for a drop goal....ever.

That being said Aussie was failing hard at the end and started to crumble. Knock ons and so forth.

Australia should have taken the drop goal when they were obviously in good field position near the end there. lol

    *by the average bandwagon fan.

Because the ABs win all the time - I would say 30% of the fan base are bandwagon fans who don't really care about rugby but like to support a winning team. Winning is all that matters and these people are the ones who came up with crap excuses like it was a forward pass etc.

That's not how you play union, you can never, ever take a risk that might result in something half exciting. Grind until you get the penalty, that's what crowds want.

Before 7 point tries it used to be a lot worse bro.

Only France really ran the ball everyone else played for territory. And it felt like 50% of test matches did not have a try.
Fox was our 1st 5 and he couldn't run to save himself and yet he was not a liability.

Anyways - Most peeps who like union grew up with it.
Most people who like union enjoy the small things in the game, e.g. watching a line out, watching a good tackle (which league has too), watching the tactical decision making for running it vs kicking it - and dissecting each players performance ad infinitum (which I know league fans do to their players too).

Best game I have seen in 30 years was the 8-7 world cup final. One try a piece and desperate defence. Each play was legendary and the players will be remembered for ever.

I wouldn't call drop goals that exciting.

More exciting than what the lead up play was. lol

With regards to scrum penalties, is the onus mostly on the defensive team to hold the scrum up? Seems every time it spins/collapses it's a penalty to the attacking side.

Pretty much. You do occasionally see the attacking side pinged for collapsing or some other indiscretion, but in such instances the defensive side really would have had to get in a really good hit and be at a chance of pushing over the top or wheeling the scrum and winning it anyway. After all, what possible reason would there be for an attacking scrummager in the ascendancy to collapse the scrum. It does happen though.

Do they sometimes attempt to spin the scrum knowing they'll probably get the penalty?
