    Secondly, you haven't actually done much with the bat in the Bannerman Shield this season.
    Thirdly, we're not going to bat you ahead of someone we just picked as a specialist batsman.

    Yeah but you are a power broker at this club. As if Marcuss is going to move me up the order. He's English ffs.

    I'm batting at like 70 in the provincial. Why does Dong's one day form count but not my provincial form? Isn't it closer to BS in terms of being Test cricket?

    P.S. this is all a laugh. I couldn't give a fuck where I bat really. Just want to bowl well.

    Dong's one day form doesn't count for much. He's been picked as a batsman - he's unlikely to bowl at all - as he's nearly 50 this ALC season and averaged 40 in ALC last season. We're not going to pick a bloke as a batsman and then bat him behind you. You're having a little purple patch with the bat but you're not going to bat above actual batsmen. Your batting position will depend on how many bowlers we select a lot more than how well you bat.
