Tigers would've probably crumbled and let in at least 30. Canberra did well to hold it to 14. Some of it comes under Brisbane's ineptness and inability to spread it wide when required, but still some solid ****ing defence.
The majority of times the ball did go wide it ended in an ineffective play, handling mistake or a forced pass over the sideline due to Canberra's defence. Thompson pwning Lockyer the prime example.
Canberra lost so much ****ing ball in their own 20, something like 7 times the lost it and that doesn't include the repeat sets Brisbane got through Penalties and Drop outs. any other team would have thumped Canberra. Brisbane just didn't show up and then had no defense. Canberra had awesome line defense that is true but frankly you were lucky Brisbane were/are so shit atm. end of the day though the better team won i wont dispute that.
We have put together 80mins of good footy so far this year. If we picked the right team(Sims) then we would be much better. We will make the 8.
****ing dense ****, what i am saying is any other team would have punished Canberra for continually dropping the ball in their 20, as it was the Broncos were just to shit to convert the good ball into points.
They spread it late when near Canberra's line. They should've done it early in the tackle count and when around halfway, instead of Lockyer's & Wallace's crappy inside balls.
They spread it plenty of times on half way. In fact they made 2 or 3 linebreaks doing exactly that. Unfortunately the other times were fail.
