Can't see the Broncos winning this down in Sydney without Hodges and McGuire. Hodges has basically been the go-to, default option for us so far this year. And I think it's a ridiculous idea to ask Gillett to mark Jennings.
Wow. I don't rate the Roosters but FMD, the Broncos aren't exactly worth a shit this year either. Forget about the Chooks, take out Hodges and I'm wondering where our points are coming from.
Agree, because it will be 13+. The Easts 2013 squad is probably the most over-rated team I've ever seen. Second time coming up against a decent team this year and they'll get nailed again.
I don't really understand the Broncos 13+ call. Brisbane cannot win this game if they lose in the middle. The extent of their supposedly world beating pack this year has been about 35 minutes of superiority over a Manly pack without King and Stewart.
I just wonder if EWS is perhaps underestimating the loss of Hodges. I think we're really going to struggle to score points.
That's the thing that worries me. McCullough, Wallace, Prince, Norman, Gillett and Glenn. Those are our options.
I think this could have been a decent match to give Kahu a go. It's still the start of the season, give him a taste with Hodges out, maybe the experience would help him in QLD cup when Hodges comes back. With Gagai gone, he's pretty much our only hope as a rookie.
