Shri regularly took wickets when the rest of the attack couldn't, and when he was just brought on to give the others a rest he kept it tight. He was the perfect fifth bowler.
Helps when you have bowlers taking wickets around you though, he wont go for many runs because he never bowls to people who are in... just needs a couple of wickets to get a decent average.
What a coincedence that I bowled awesome in season 5. Probably Crusaders. 1. Vago 2. Davis 3. Monkeywrench 4. Gemmell 5. Hayes 6. Retzel 7. Volavola IIRC
Lol @ you listing Volavola in a Crusaders team. He never played for them. They only came into existence because he got banned and wouldn't give the Redbacks away.
At one point it was going to be; Johns Surkelton C Man Prodigy BC Jacobs That would have been a quality line up if Prod & Choco never pulled out.
Kovas needs to find form if that partnership is gonna work IMO. he was rubbish this season, spent time in the 2nd's. But they've got some goodies like Ritchie showing promise, so they'll be a force
We had the worst luck at the back end of season 5. We were already pushing shit uphill with the team we had - we actually were playing Stacker on his batting alone and still playing blokes who had about 200 posts because we were that short on batting. Anyway, what got us to the final was our bowling attack. Me, Whicker and Sullo took a ridiculous amount of wickets between us. Whicker got a massive ban so we lost him with about 3 matches to go and then Sullo got injured. Adding to the pain, our 4th best bowler, Smith was also injured. If you look at that scorecard again, we had a specialist bat in Brown batting at 8, Jakester, a batting allrounder with under 1000 posts being picked on his bowling to take the new ball with Zakaron....
