I know. But that doesn't change the fact that they played the vast majority of their FG footy on the wing or in the centres and then moved with absolute ease. I mean Lockyer played a lot of 6 in the younger grades. And Hunt a lot in the halves. But both took and would take far longer to adjust from fullback to the halves, not because they were lesser players. But because the position is so much harder IMO.
Yeah, the only time they looked like going anywhere up the middle was when Galloway and Heighington were both fresh. Galloway's generally useless after his first 25-minute spell and Heighington as a tight-runner is excellent as a second option but he's too small to lead the pack there. Gibbs offered nothing in attack, and Cayless+Moors were ****ing terrible. The Tigers are going to be absolutely useless up front after the first 20 minutes or so of each game if it continues like this.
I still can't work out how I lost that bet. There's no way that Wests should have been able to come back from where they were. Two bottom eight teams imo.
What's the bet the Tigers open up a can of whoop ass on whatever shit QLD team that you decide to support when they're doing half decent? Everyone's discounting the fact that the Tigers are one of those teams that despite having shit **** forwards, they can score a try from 100m out. Farah and Benji are 2 of the best playmakers in the league, and to go along with that we just have some speedy solid backs to compliment. The Tigers will be a top 6 side this year at the very least.
Tigers will struggle to make the eight. Glad Manly lost though, just read Nadyone's stuff on RLeague and wanted to /life.
The smartest play of the whole night was Benji? running the next play from dummy half around the injured Stewart and Lyon having to basically dive over the top of Stewart from marker.
Was Lui even playing halfback? Whenever the Tigers set up for anything I swear Moltzen or Farah was at first receiver.
Manly aren't top 8 material IMO. Foran is garbage at 7 and they can't win a coin toss without Stewart ala 2009.
Was pretty dissapointed and now we're ****ed without DWilliams and Stewart. Hoppa will get a run soon and that's unfortunate because he isn't ready mentally. I passed him in the street a couple weeks ago and asked if he enjoying it in the top 25 and he basically said he wasn't going to play all season no matter what.
