    I'm very skeptical to signing Rugby players who aren't playing for the Wallabies, let alone Super 15. Think this will flop.

    Has got good skills though....

    Its not really a flop is no-one talks him though tbh.

    He could be worse but after some of Purtell's performances lately it certainly would not hurt to give him a shot. You can't fumble the ball in the ingoal and let a try in and not be in serious danger of losing your spot. Not to mention the fact that he is terrible at defusing kicks as well. I am sick of him, I really am. He is nothing more than a fringe first grader and doesn't deserve the security of his spot that he has.

    Last year it was his defence, this year it is his handling.

    It must just be ingrained in the minds of Penrith coaches at the moment. He must be a good bloke to have around or coach otherwise he wouldn't have been playing. I bet all my vcash that Cleary won't be playing him next season.

    Also in other news, Maurice Blair has signed with Penrith again on a two year deal. Its a solid signing but its a bit unusual considering how good he is going for them at the moment and he may have trouble getting a position back here. In saying that, I guess he probably doesn't like lviing in Melbourne?

    Can't see any news of Maurice Blair signing for Penrith.

    With Champion gone and pretty much all of Melbourne's other backs wingers I would have been near certain they'd retain him. Especially now Bellamy obviously loves him.

    Yeah its hiding in the Mortimer article.

    Its a pretty stupid decision by him IMO seeing as he had secured a spot in FG and was doing well. Solid signing from Penrith though. He will probably end up playing most of his contract out at the Wolves. My guess is that it is more of a lifestyle choice then a footballing choice.

    Coote to play five-eighth, Gordon to play fullback and Earl to play for Windsor. It's what I'd do tbh.

    I'd go Coote @ 5/8 as well. But I think Earl and Simmons should be the wingers and then Blair and Tighe can fight for that last centre spot.

    Nah Earl is a shunt tbh. Has ability but rarely delivers on it; needs to sort his game out playing for Windsor. Tighe and Blair are much better players at this stage IMO.

    Earl just needs another off-season and he might be back to his best. He was off the pace this season but from the season previous, I think he has the potential to be a lot better than Tighe and Simmons. There was a reason why he was only a whisker away from NZ selection last season.

    Yeah or he might not. Needs to actually prove it, for Windsor. Would even pick Walker ahead of Earl at this stage. He's completely discredited himself AFAIC and needs to prove his worth again by playing consistently in the lower grades.
