    Its got nothing to do with merging.

    We didnt merge either, a merger is a 50-50 share of both companies.

    We are a joint venture.

    Regardless St.George Dragons still exist as a football club.

    St. George Dragons USED TO exist as a football club, it is now St. George Illawarra Dragons, who currently have 0 premierships. The Dragons wouldn't exist even if they hadn't gone through with the "joint venture", so you can't call it a one-sided deal.

    St george may still exist as a football club but they no longer exist as a first grade rugby league team... this is recognised by the NRL. The SG ball and HM comps fall under the NSWRL competition.

    Since when are we talking about the SG Ball and Harold Mathews competitions? This is NRL discussion, and that is what we are talking about. The St. George Dragons do not exist in the NRL.
