Woah. Cool to see him back. If only he didn't go to AFL, probably would've been an ATG if he didn't.
Training contract means he's not part of the top 30 and can only be used if they get an exemption from the NRL in the event of an injury to all bar 1 of their halves.
Can also be used after Round 11 now if they want to
Hopefully he is signed up to a full time spot and played in the centres until Staggs is back. If he is killing it in the centres, move him to 6 when Staggs comes back. I didn't watch him in union, but he looked good in his 1.5 games in QC.
Like you watched Q Cup games
You're kidding yourself if you think I didn't watch a QC game that had a left side pairing of Goates/KHunt
Looking possibly like Chad Townsend>>>Cowboys
If Cowboys give him 2m over 3 years, it's pretty disgusting recruitment. Is he even first grade standard anymore?
Yeah that's bizarre. Makes Brooks' deal look like a bargain. They're supposedly giving Dearden something like $1 million per year which is nuts too.
Chambers -> Cronulla and Hastings -> Wests in other news.
Nah no way. Dearden isn't even worth half that, I'm struggling to see the hype. He has a decent running game, but not much else. If he wants more than 300k, I'm happy for him to leave Brisbane.
What actually is the story with Cordner and this whole 12 rounds off thing?
Does Cordner even improve the Roosters side if he was to come back? It's strange Friend has retired and Cordner hasn't.
I don't mind signing Townsend but not on 2 mill.
It is bizarre but seems to indicate NQ doing a further roster cleanout which I think was long overdue.
I think the talk of Dearden and the $1million is over 3 years, not per season.
Still not sure how pumped I'd be about a rebuild revolving around Dearden and Townsend as my halves though.
Dearden is poo.
Dearden is a broke man's Reynolds.
I'd be okay with Drinkwater/Townsend halves.
