    Wouldn't surprise if they've thrown a bucket load of cash at him, no other team needs a first grade standard half as bad as Cronulla.

    Although there's some pretty good halves available atm, I'm not convinced DCE is worth the figures that have been reported.

    I'm torn on Foran. I really like him and I think he's a good player. If he came into a system like Easts, Souths or Melbourne he'd absolutely excel. He'd play his edge perfectly and offer one of those clubs a better chance of winning a premiership.

    But when I hear he's being offered squillions by the likes of Parramatta, I sit back and wonder how he'd actually do as a go to dominant half. I don't think it'd work, I think the limitations in his game would be there for everyone to see if he went to a struggling club to be the main man.

    Funnily enough I think the opposite of DCE. He's the type of player a Parra or gold Coast should be targeting.

    Yeah, they are hesitant to hold onto Maloney due to how Hastings is coming along. I cant see them forking out more cash for Foran.

    I kind of agree, but we just need to see who Parra would be pairing him with.
    If it's Sandow, I think it could be ok. Sandow contributes a great long kicking game and some improvisation.
    Foran would be the steady hand, not being relied upon to come up with the killer blow.

    If on the other hand he is paired with Norman, I don't see how it would work. Neither has a strong long kicking game, nor are they the type to come up with something special when you least suspect it.

    Parra might even option to go with Ryan Matterson along with Foran if they are looking to be rid of both Sandow and Norman. Once again, not a great long kicking game. Also untested in FG.

    At the very least, Foran would bring a solid defensive game to the Eels halves, plus a wealth of experience.

    Some interesting comments from Taumalolo. I still think he's got a lot of work to do on his defence but some of his performances at the back end of the season when he was switched from the edges to lock were sensational.

    Will be interesting to see what he ends up going for. Wouldn't' surprise in the least if he ends up on 500k.

    Haha yeah indeed. In the age of players just flat out denying the very prospect of moving even after they're knuckle-deep in talks with other clubs, that sort of "give it all my best" and "it's my last year" talk really makes it sound like there is no chance of him staying. In fact it sounds like he'd go even if the Cowboys gave him the biggest offer (which they won't).
