    The latest atrocity to come from it was the defence of Woods's poor Origin performances with the excuse that Gallen is a ball hog.

    That's right. When Woods takes 20 runs and Galloway takes 5 it's because Galloway is a shunt and Woods is awesome, but when Gallen takes 20 runs and Woods takes 5 it's because Gallen is a hog. Sounds legit.

    It's not entirely untrue though. The number of carries for Gallen's front row partners are lower than usual, across the series since he was moved. It certainly doesn't come close to explaining Woods taking a third of his usual number of runs though.
