Santa Cruz iz terribly overrated IMO. He's average at best, not a signing that will take Citeh anywhere near forward.

Santa Cruz's ability isn't what's overrated, it's his pricetag. But Blackburn are going to exploit City's riches by asking whatever they want for him. That's what Bolton did to Chelsea when they wanted Anelka. 15 million for that ****?! Piss off.

Also, I will LOL hard if United get Benzema. No matter if they keep Ronaldo or get Kaka, their team will be probably even better next season just by that one signing. Benzema is pure class.

I don't rate Benzema any higher than Berbatov or Tevez just yet. A lot of potential though

  5. Magic AJ Parker

Half of what Man Utd payed for Berbatov yet nearly double the goals, not the worst signing ever made.

  6. Hybrid A Kolar

All three are class players, but Benzema has the potential to be twice the player Tevez or Berbatov are, believe me.

That's a fair point, not that money is any obstacle for either team anyway. But I think Anelka was still overpriced at 15 million, no matter what you say in hindsight based on the goals scored.

Berbatov is a funny case. When he wants to be, he's worth 50 million, but when he feels lazy or apathetic on the field, he's worth 5 bucks ffs.

    Benzema is class.

I feel Ben arfa could have been as good as him aswell but when they were both at Lyon Benzema was always picked before him as they both played the same position if Ben Arfa had been given the same chances he would have been jsut as good.

I completely AWTA. He was a signing United were chasing last season but the price tag eluded us, that won't be an issue this time around with more money in the kitty. Looks promising IMO.

I would like to see then sign Benzema but then that would more than likely see Tevez gone.

    Santa Cruz? Good song.

If Berbatov was lone striker for half the season he would've got similar to Anelka. Berbatov was rotated and in and out

    - Manchester City have held talks with Barcelona about signing Samuel Eto'o for a fee of about £40m. The Cameroon international striker has stalled on a new four-year deal at the Camp Nou and Barca could run the risk of losing him for nothing with 14 months left on his current deal.

    - Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez admits he may have to sell some of his current squad to fund his summer transfer kitty. The Spaniard is eyeing Valencia duo David Silva and Raul Albiol, as well as Aston Villa's Gareth Barry.

    - Middlesbrough's record £12m signing Afonso Alves will join Benfica in the summer, even if the Teessiders escape relegation.

    - Tottenham midfielder Didier Zokora says he is ready to quit the club after losing his first-team place. Team-mates David Bentley, Tom Huddlestone, Gareth Bale and Jermaine Jenas also face uncertain futures at White Hart Lane.

    - Tottenham and Manchester City are among a number of clubs heading the list for Blackburn's Paraguay striker Roque Santa Cruz.

    - AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi says he is unsure whether Carlo Ancelotti will be at the San Siro next season, fuelling speculation the Rossoneri coach will join Chelsea in the summer.

    - Former Tottenham manager Martin Jol, now in charge of German side Hamburg, is favourite to succeed Jurgen Klinsmann, who was sacked as Bayern Munich manager on Tuesday.

    - Klinsmann's availability could interest Manchester City should the club decide to sack current manager Mark Hughes.

    Who would Liverpool sell?

  14. SM MD Dorn

Agger's pretty much gone, Pennant, could even look at Xabi Alonso.

Barry won't go to Liverpool, could go to City tbh

Whispers of Zidane popping his head up at a new club.

  16. Hybrid A Kolar

Yep, Agger's almost gone and Pennant seems to be pretty happy at Portsmouth. IMO, Rafa will sell fringe players like Lucas and Voronin (who is out on loan anyway).

You sell Agger, Pennant, Lucas and Voronin, and you already have some cash freed up.

  17. Colesy BL Hornby

I would like us to hold onto Lucas TBH, the rest i aint fussed about.

  18. Hybrid A Kolar

Better to sell Lucas than the likes of Babel, Benayoun or Xabi. It's going to be worth it if you guys manage to scoop up Barry and Villa - they are quality.

  19. Hybrid A Kolar

    - Juventus will make a new bid for Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso after missing out on him last summer.

    - Real Madrid's Dutch winger Rafael van der Vaart has been offered to Chelsea for £8m.

    - Aston Villa want £5.5m-rated Steau Bucharest defender Dorin Goian.

    - AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti is confident of signing England midfielder David Beckham on a permanent deal from Los Angeles Galaxy.

    - Croatia coach Slaven Bilic has emerged as a shock contender to become Chelsea's new boss.

    - Liverpool winger Yossi Benayoun will be offered a new deal to keep him from quitting the club in the summer.
