    Cleary's coaching is actually really terrible IMO. With each passing week I rate it less, even though the Warriors are going well. He might be a good motivator I guess but the team seems really poorly coached on the field and his selections are fart as well.

    Had to have a laugh at Phil Gould coming out and saying that the Warriors success comes at no surprise to him. He reckons Cleary is responsible for the whole clubs success, so NYC included.

    Their NYC success comes from the fact that they have a much larger junior nursery than any other club, barring perhaps the Broncos. The analysis I did on junior clubs of current NRL/ESL contracted players earlier in the year showed that; even if you just count Auckland they could field two or three teams with their juniors.

    Yeah that is why I thought it was funny. There is no way in the world Ivan Cleary has anything to do with the success of the whole club... maybe only the NRL side but even then he has only needed to blood juniors and the rest has just clicked for him.
