    Apparently what clubs do is tie contracts in with promotional stuff...

    eg, Greg Bird signs with the Tits for $50k, but Jetstar take him on board as a promo dude and pay him another $50k, meaning he's effectively on $100k.

    Also means that Jetstar pay less to the Titans, and more to other people within the club

    Yea happens here with the Rugby clubs and shit...

    Work used to sponsor the teams, and early on in the Salary Cap days, we would give them like free food, free drinks, gambling money and shit.

    It was crooked as, but no one ever clicked on :p

    Yeah. They can't get a job with a club affiliated sponsor and it not count. I can't see how it could be traced if it was cash rather than deposited into the bank.
    Club: Oh, looks like we need new gym equipment, here's $30,000 for it. Oh woops, it got lost.

    So did I and for good reason. They've been playing some dam good footy in patches though, once they get everyone on the paddock they could make a pretty big push for the 8, reckon Pricey retiring could be a bit of extra motivation.

    I'm not saying we will even make the 8, just last time he predicted something it made me giggle like a school girl. I said from the start that injuries would kill us and we'd finish about 10th. If we can get our key players back and keep them fit I'll reckon we'll do much better.

    **** me. Storm having been rorting the cap for the last 5 years. Upto 2 mil. Atleast 500k this season. Gallop ****s them over big time. Fine of 500k, team wont get anymore points in 2010 and lose all they've got. They'll lose the premierships and minor premierships they've won.
