THE NRL is to be rocked with allegations games have been fixed, with police investigating matches.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal the State’s Organised Crime Squad is looking at games.
“The Organised Crime Squad is in the early stages of examining information to alleged match fixing in the NRL,” a police spokeswoman confirmed to the Daily Telegraph.
“No further comment is appropriate at this stage.”

    Lovely.

    Doubt it.

  3. AVA T Delonge

In before rumours of Norman/Paulo/Segeyaro being involved.

  4. Magic AJ Parker

The potential for Ryan Tandy-like situation to happen again is always a realistic possibility. Couldn't see it being anything more than something like that though, or something that's widespread within the game.

  5. AVA T Delonge

Rumours are it was two games involving Manly last year, Round 16 loss to Souffs and Round 24 loss to Parramatta

  6. Julian BJ Taylor

    Did Foran play those games?

  7. AVA T Delonge

    Yeah he did. :p

  8. Julian BJ Taylor

And he's just had personal leave and blown 75k in a night on Seff Effrican horse racing...

Watching some highlights of those games, besides preventing a Parra 40/20, there are some pretty soft/lazy defensive efforts by Stewart.

  10. GYR DW Lewis

Rumour that the Stewart brothers, Foran and Watmough are going to have charges laid against them for this

  11. Ged GEC King

That kinda links up with G Stewart at Souths and Watmough at Parra. Watmough in particular seems dumb enough to do it. Don't know why Foran would get involved though.

    Two words: eddie hayson

  13. Cribbage RG Cribb

The most logical explanation IMO is that Foran (a known gambling addict) owed some shady bastard a favour and got his dumb mates in on it.

Paul Kent alluded to this situation a few weeks back. Without naming players though
