Did anyone figure out if he's actually eligible? If he's ineligble for City v Country but can play for NSW, that's something that definitely needs to be looked at.

  2. Magic AJ Parker

My team for Game 3 AND going forward....

    1. Hayne - Still young enough to be considered the future and a class above any fullback we have atm.
    2. B Morris - Easy selection, in the right structure he'll be fine
    3. Lewis - sure up the defence and reckon he'd still add something in attack
    4. Idris - I know I'll get hammered for this one but I just reckon he's one one of the few cetnres we have who could handle the step up to origin... obviously needs to get his defence right but imo it can be done with the right structure and players around him, oh yeh and stop being a lazy black fella like Thaiday put it.
    5. Reddy - Again probably get hammered but I really like him, got great awareness and good defender to help out Idris
    6. Campese - Best 5/8 in NSW, as long as he actually does play a 5/8's role and not a left/right half
    7. Pearce - Best young half we have
    8. Weyman - deserves to keep his spot, always gives 100% and would shine in a better pack
    9. Ennis/Farah - meh, both been about as good as the other at origin level imo
    10. Ryles/Bailey - experience for the young blokes, hate picking a starting forward who has never played origin before. Would be stupid to blood young forwards and then have them play in a comprehensively beaten pack, they'd learn shit all.
    11. Hindmarsh (C)
    12. Watmough - wide running role
    13. Gallen - give him a god under a coach who'll play him in tight let him play the role he does at club level.

    14. Heighington/Laffranchi - Both should've played more games imo, whilst QLD pick their out of form backrowers knowing they'll always lift we ignore ours and just hope they develop into SOO players without actually playing them in it, Heiginghton more so than Laffranchi.
    15. Douglas - easy selection should've been developed into an origin player 2 years ago
    16. TLL - best NSW prop so far this series
    17. Paul Aiton - :surprise:meh name someone who could play a better role off the bench, has the pace to trouble the big QLD fowards like Wing used to.

I'd blood props like Snowden, Tolman, Mannah & possibly Grant when Ryles/Bailey retire and for injures/suspensions.

Backrowers like Prior, Aubusson, Fensom & Thompson if he ever makes the switch.

Haha I'm sure I've contradicted myself 1000 especially picking Lewis to sure up the defence yet dropping Scott for Idris  but that's just the players I would go for in the next few years. I agree with Gould (again) we're currently worse off now than we were 3 years agao and we need to build rather than continue to play catchup .

Feel free to bag the shit out of my team now...

  3. Magic AJ Parker

Nah he's not eligible this year, but is for next I think... something like that anyway.

  4. morgieb MC Burridge

    Not the worst side tbf.

Bailey's retired and I'm pretty sure Ation's a Queenslander though.

  5. morgieb MC Burridge

Why? Pretty sure Jennings played in the WC yet he's eligible...

  6. Speirz DG Speirs

Well that's dumb, seeing as he didn't actually play any footy in Fiji, and he's already played for NSW in junior levels.

Didn't come to Australia until he was 15/16 IIRC.

****in ay I would pick Uate if actually elligible. Is he though?

TLL was the best prop in game 1 but was ordinary on Wednesday night.

They talked about this during a game once. I think he pledged his allegiance to fiji and doesn't want to play or something. If he did I would have him in there in a heartbeat. Imagine the destruction.

At least if he got picked we'd have someone who naturally charges in off his wing, and might even be quick enough and big enough to do it effectively.

  11. morgieb MC Burridge

Why the **** would someone want to play for Fiji? That'd just mean he'd only play rep footy every 5 years or something.

  12. morgieb MC Burridge

Not yet. Will be next year though.

Some people actually have pride in who they play for. They're the sort of blokes we want for NSW.

  14. GYR DW Lewis

It's like asking why someone would want to play for NZ over Australia. National pride I guess.

  15. GYR DW Lewis

I'd cream my pants if he got picked. **** the forward pack just give him the ball.

  16. Alec AD Funkotron

Still better than playing for NSF. :toot:

  17. morgieb MC Burridge

If it was NZ, it'd be fair enough. Not for a 'minor' nation, though.

  18. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

  19. Fungus K Fung

Will be eligible at around November next year. Pretty useless for next year's Origin series.

  20. morgieb MC Burridge

    I got for that team:

    1. Jarryd Hayne
    2. Akuliua Uate
    3. Jamie Lyon
    4. Michael Jennings
    5. Brett Morris
    6. Todd Carney
    7. Mitchell Pearce
    8. Luke Douglas
    9. Robbie Farah
    10. Justin Poore
    11. Anthony Watmough
    12. Anthony Laffranchi
    13. Paul Gallen

    Some shit options though.
