I think Brett Morris deserves a wing spot, I just don't see it with Josh Morris, his form hasn't been all that hot and don't think he has the tools to be an origin centre.

NSW players are playing for themselves, afraid that they'll get dropped if they don't perform. They need to start playing for each other, the way QLD is doing. Before they start doing that, I don't think they'll be able to win with any side.

  3. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

Yeah you can definitely see that they're in competition with each other.

    1. Jarryd Hayne
    2. Josh Dugan
    3. Beau Scott
    4. Jamie Lyon
    5. Brett Morris
    6. Trent Barrett
    7. Mitchell Pearce
    8. Michael Weyman
    9. Michael Ennis
    10. Kade Snowden
    11. Anthony Watmough
    12. Nathan Hindmarsh
    13. Paul Gallen

    14. Robbie Farah
    15. Tom Leahroyd Lars
    16. Luke Lewis
    17. Tim Mannah

I think you name that side even earlier than normal, could and probably should switch Dugan and Hayne. White could be there instead of Weyman, I'd hope either of them would step up if they felt like they were the leader of the pack.

I think Scott did keep Inglis fairly quiet, he gets another shot because I don't trust Tahu, Idris or Jennings in defence, I don't really rate Josh Morris and Cooper has probably played his last origin game.

Farah off the bench because realistically the 'utility' is going to be playing hooker, if things are going well get him to run and keep it simple, if things are going wrong then he has the ability to change the entire team dynamics as he is very different to Ennis.

I think Mannah is made for origin, if Weyman fails in game 3 next year I'd start him and bring Tolman/Douglas onto the bench. Weyman deserves another shot and it'll be best to have a bit of experience up front whilst breaking in these rookies imo.

I feel sorry for Gidley as well but he's just not made for origin, his strength is in his workload at club level and being involved in everything, which shouldn't be needed at origin level.

I think Tolman and Douglas deserve a shot before Mannah tbh.

NATHAN MERRIT should make it. Has been overlooked enough!

great defender. good under the high ball. Attacking spark.

I reckon Tim Grant will be ready in a couple seasons. Has played extremely well this season for a young prop. Tolman and Mannah also strong. Tolman the pick of the bunch. Between Tolman/Douglas and Snowden, NSW have some players to their disposal.

I honestly reckon that we'll see:
    1. Hayne
    2. Idris
    3. Jennings
    4. Jorris
    5. Borris
    6. Kidley
    7. Pearce

  9. Lukic L Popovic

QLD will lose 50-0 against that team.

  10. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

They'd be crazy to drop Barrett.

  11. Fungus K Fung

Yeah, I got a feeling they'll play Gidley in the halves. Even though it'll suck.

  12. Lukic L Popovic

    needs moar Heighno

I'd be happy for either of them to slot in, as I said though I think Mannah is built for origin, big unit with a bit of mongrel about him, his confidence would be sky high at the moment as well after the way he's been playing. Meanwhile Tolman has been benched after being run on for the Storm and coming off an injury, if his season was uninterrupted I would've gone for Tolman but as it stands Mannah's the better choice imo.

I think Grant's got a bit of cat in him, I think he could go missing when the chips are down. I don't get that vibe from Mannah, Tolman or Snowden, they seem like the types of players who'd really lift for it.

  15. Lukic L Popovic

    1. Hayne
    2. Lawrence
    3. Lyon
    4. Scott *having 2 right centres is heaps gay
    5. Morris
    6. Campese
    7. Pearce
    8. Douglas
    9. Farah
    10. Snowden
    11. Heighington
    12. Gallen
    13. Lewis

    14. Weyman
    15. Tolman
    16. Watmough
    17. TLL

At least this pack will have go forward.

  16. Magic AJ Parker

Yeh Josh Morris is a really average centre for mine, never understood the hype. I'd much rather Idris with his non existent defence over Morris.

Couldn't agree more, the scary thing is though if they do pick the right team going forward we're probably going to have to accept that we wont win a series for another year or two.

Then again you said Pearce and Scott should never be selected again so maybe I'm missing your point. Neither were liabilities to their team and both have been in great club form this year... the type of players we should be persevering with. I agree with Gould Pearce should not have been selected in the first place but because he was they now need to stick with him.

I don't know... how much does a white wash actually mean in the whole context of things? I'm more worried about our future than I am the present, Campese would be my selection he should be in the halves next year with Pearce.

  17. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

Yeah I see your point, Campese was my 5/8th for game one personally. They'd be crazy to drop Barrett for Gidley though imo.

    I'm thinking.....

    1. Gidley
    2. Hayne
    3. Gasnier (or Jennings if he doesn't get back in time)
    4. Lyon
    5. Morris
    6. Barrett/Campese*
    7. Kimmorley/Pearce*
    8. Douglas
    9. Ennis/Farah*
    10. Snowden
    11. Watmough
    12. Gallen
    13. Bird

    14. Lewis
    15. TLL
    16. Poore/Weyman/Tolman/Hindmarsh/etc.
    17. Mason

Reckon that's our best side. 6,7,9 depends on whether we want experience or future.

  19. morgieb MC Burridge

    Haha. :(

Yeah, that'll probably happen. Knowing the NSW selectors they'll drop the players that did OK and replace them with shit ****s.

Yeah, that was yesterday when I was lolling at anything NSW did. Thinking back, I think both Pearce and Scott can be forgiven for anything they did poorly.
