It's been like that for ages. I think they closed the site down a couple of weeks after I started playing. It was only in beta so I guess things didn't go as planned.
Yeah I'm downloading it atm, seems good stuff considering it's freeware and there's nothing else like it about.
yeah ive started as gloucester and just played my first match, the lay out for games my get some getting used to after how simple the rugby league on was but sure ill get the hang of it, plus already signed Stephen Myler and Jonny Sexton so my teams looking good already
Yeah I started it last night, think it could be better in some areas and some clubs putting people like Myler, Sexton, etc. on sale straight away makes no sense. Also some of the stats are really unrealistic - Luke Watson isn't that strong but is pretty strong and quick, so stats of maybe 80/70 would be suitable. Instead his strength is like 95 and his speed is 28, which is ridiculous, whilst Butch James is something like 85 for speed when he's the same speed as Watson. But for freeware it's pretty gun.
Yeha ive found that problem on the rugby league game aswell but once you get further into the game and pretty much no recognised players in, its better, needs some work and dont think he has done everything he can but as a hobby its not a bad job
Yeah pretty much my view on it too. I know all the players and stuff but some of the inaccuracies are crazy. Would be cool if he could create a player editor so people like me who get peeved by them can correct them (like Cricket Coach's online one).
Southern Hemisphere teams wayyyy overrated. I agree that on the whole their attack > NH teams but their defence, after the showing this last season gone, would be well below IMHO. Also a lot of players are incorrectly positioned - examples are James O'Connor who's a Inside Centre or Fly Half, when he's a FB/WG, Olly Barkley a FH/IC instead of the other way round, Shontayne Hape is a OC/WG when he's a IC/OC, Butch James supposedley being able to play IC just to think of a few I've seen so far.
They are well over rated but i still kicked there ass as gloucester, well brought in about 3 players but still, they can be beaten so not too fussed, but i agree on players tbh i dont think he knows too much but he gets them wrong on all his games for certain people but thats the way it goes, id love to have go at making a RL/RU game but my comp just aint good enough tbh
Honestly, the SH teams can't defend notion is such tripe. Why do you guys still struggle to score tries against us in the Autumn Internationals? We can't defend after all...
