So long as it has reasonable prices this is really good news. I never torrent music anymore because of spotify, and so long as it's well priced I'll be the same with movies/netflix.
Yep I use Netflix. Pretty awesome watching shows on my tablet then on the tv/ comp if I so wish. I use Hola to get around the fact you're not meant to use it.
"Brace yourselves for high level congestion, ISPs responding by charging differential pricing and the subsequently outraged Australian public calling for "net neutrality" and the government killing the internet forever."
How the fuck does that "kill the internet forever"? FFS the people you follow on facebook are ridiculously ideological
It's about fucking time we got Netflix in this country. If it does well, I would expect Hulu Plus to make their way here as well.
I will if Netflix isn't a reasonable price. Also if we won't be getting TV shows at the same time as everywhere else. I think in the US they pay around $7-8 a month, which I'll be happy to do to keep myself from illegally downloading anymore. But anything more than say $10 a month and I'm not even going to bother. I already have Foxtel, which is a fucking ripoff. I'm not paying too much for Netflix either.
Why not both ? I've had Netflix for a few years now and it definitely has it's uses. Besides $15 a month is hardly breaking the bank.
