Your activity check is a good idea, that could be a clause from cricsim itself, a player must make <200 posts in a season for the contract to be valid. Don't need 5 season contracts anyway, seriously think 2-3 season ones are more than enough.
that's all good but I don't think there is any amount of vcash that a club would want in exchange for a player.
If a player had a 2 season contract, and was 1 season through and wanted to leave instead of getting a release the player could be sold for an amount of vCash that would allow the club to pay another player in wages or sign another player from another club instead of trying to get a stupid 3 way trade scheme going etc. I'm not meaning there are transfers all the time maybe like 2-3 a season, something that could pretty much replace releases. But Contracts become a big thing, and ego's would boost etc from signing big contracts. Heaps of cunts have blown their vCash and would like more, think it sounds awesome. Probably 2 IMO.
Could something like the OD abilities page be used instead? Perhaps anybody not on that page isn't eligible to be picked, even if they've got a contract.
I like the idea of using vCash in contracts, but not multiple season contacts because of their could be long layoffs between seasons.
