Measures to increase simming rate (NOT A SUGGESTIONS THREAD)

Serious thread. If anyone posts in here with anything like "just man up and sim more games", "this isn't working very well" or anything like that, I'll give them a spam infraction and delete the post.

Basically, I've decided to try to cut down the time it takes before and after games setting things up, saving things etc to make the whole thing less of a chore. I'll keep this thread updated with the boring details as I go along.

Ideas on making it less like a chore? Or is that what you want us for? :p

He makes it sound like he's our bitch.

I'll give you one msn address of one of my 14yr old neice's friends every time you sim.

Sounds like a great idea, whatever you are doing :p.

Sounds more to me like this thread is motivation. We'll bitch about it if he doesn't do what he says he'll do in post 1.

This is good. Increased Simmage means alot more activity and people enjoy the game more. Good work on trying to increase the rate of simmage. Sounds like it will benefit this forum.

What exactly goes on in a single match of simmage?

Cull shit like all these shitty CPL leagues that are distractions.

Well, what do you have to do to set each game up?

    Combine programs used pre-simming

The most annoying part of simming, by far, is all the annoying little things I have to do before I can even start the game. The process is as follows:

    1. Go to a specific location online.
    2. Copy the wall of data from said location.
    3. Paste said wall of data into notepad and save it to a specific location on my computer.
    4. Open Visual Basic 2005.
    5. From Visual Basic 2005, select a specific project.
    6. Edit two lines of the project, then run it. Close it afterwards.
    7. From Visual Basic 2005, select a different specific project.
    8. Run it; close it afterwards.
    9. Open ITC.
    10. Select "import database" and find the database file the VB projects have created.
    11. Manually go through each team on ITC to fix the stupid player-order bug.

It doesn't really seem like that much, but it does get annoying before every game and it's slowing me down. The solution here is to create a program that actually combines steps 1-9 to the following step:

    1. Open "CricSim database.exe" from Desktop

I'll need to create a program that combines my projects after downloading a file, obviously. It should be pretty straightfoward.

    That seems pretty hectic lol.

This isn't for suggestions, particularly those you know I'll disagree strongly with and rage at. This is like a progress journal where I tell you what I'm doing and you nod politely. So, not your scene basically. :p

    You have my sword cribb.

  16. Ged GEC King

My measure to increase simming rates would work imo.

  17. Cribbage RG Cribb

    Done! :king:

(Okay, I cheated a bit, I'd almost finished this combination program when I started this thread, but it still fits.)

Kick out the Stingrays and Gamblers? I concur.

ITC? That's the same thing Liam uses isn't it?

Have you asked him/Hakon if they have an easier way of doing it?

Expecting respone to be I have asked them and that's how they do it.

    Gun. More simmage.
