Because he's happy already at a club that are in a better position than United.

But wouldn't Klopp be able to take United to a better position? Surely that would be the argument for him joining?

  3. Cabinet96 OTN Wood

Not necessarily. He'll have more money, but the transitional period will be huge, having to accommodate his style, bring in his type of players etc. It's already in place at Dortmund.

How does this affect Financial Fair Play? Surely having to pay out a six year contract will affect it

He is loyal to Dortmund, that's the problem but he's take them as far as he can almost.

And United are still a top job for his type of manager.

    Yeah I guess that's true.

They are only paying out one year. He had a clause which meant that if he didn't attain CL football, his pay out was only 1 year. So it's something like £2.2m, I think.

I think this is key. If he can't see them going further, why would he stay? And surely he can't if he can't keep his best players from leaving.

Ahhhh ok, I've been wondering this for a while. Thanks.

Man Utd will not be pursuing Jurgen Klopp. Been made aware he is committed to Borussia Dortmund. Story to follow...

Be interesting to read the story/how credible it is.

He just signed a new contract and makes a deal of his loyalty.

Hope there is a chance though, let's see.

    Otherwise Van Gaal seems favorite.

Simeone, Hiddink, Rudi Garcia, Blanc, Quieroz, De Boer, Conte other names being mentioned.

This is a sad day for football

Even if it's £10 million that's really not going to affect FFP at all. We've consistently made in the region of £50 mill profits for a few years now and you have to attain big losses over a 2 or 3 year period to even be investigated

Read: "We're waiting until after the WC for van Gaal"

Going to be disastrous for our transfers I reckon
