    Mafia (Signups)

You may remember that there used to be that Werewolf game which was pretty ****ing huge so I've decided to bring that back, except play a more complex version of it called Mafia. I'll need to see how many people are interested in it as I'll be doing it all manually and I won't bother if no one wants to play.

    Rules and how to win:
    - The Mafia (and associated team mates) must eliminate all the citizens and non-Mafia players either by killing them or voting them off. The Mafia wins if there are any number of Mafia left in the game with either 1 or 0 non-Mafia left. e.g. if there are 3 Mafia still alive but only 1 citizen then the Mafia wins.
    - The Rogue wins by being one of the last two alive (a Rogue win takes precedence over a Mafia or citizen win)
    - The Citizens win by voting off all the Mafia + Rogue.
    - Hitman wins if he kills his assigned target.
    - Bodyguard wins if the person he saves is targeted by a killer.
    - While I don't recommend posting your job in public, its your choice.
    - You are able to communicate with your allies.
    - If I PM you the result of your target selection, do not post about it until after the deadline for orders has passed.
    - After this first trial game, late signups will not be accepted. This makes it easier for me to organise.
    - Dead players and players who have been voted off are not able to perform their actions or vote for the rest of the game.
    - Dead players and players who have been voted off are able to reveal their jobs if they wish to.

    - Similar to Werewolf. Everyone with a job PMs me who they want to target during the night and I will post the results of those events once I've processed them all.
    - After those events have been completed everyone gets to vote whoever they think is in the Mafia and whoever has the most votes is voted off the game.
    - All communication with me will be done via PM (actions) although discussion can be done in the game thread. Players have until the deadline (6pm NZST the day after I send the PM) to PM me back with their orders. I will proceed with the game after this deadline hours are up or when all orders have been received. Whichever comes first.
    - Players may elect to skip their turn but must still PM me stating this.
    - All jobs with the ability to choose a player may only choose one player per game round.
    - To clarify. One game round involves:
    1. Players with "active" jobs PMing me their targets
    2. Announcement of the night's events (deaths etc)
    3. Voting
    4. Player voted off
    5. New round begins
    - One round does not equal one game.

Jobs: (number in brackets represents the number the random number generator must generate in order for you to get that job)

Mafia team jobs: (show up as a "yes" under a sheriff or FBI agent check)
Mafia: Can select one person per round to kill. (00)
Godfather: If the Mafia's target is saved then the Godfather's target will be used instead. If the Mafia dies then the Godfather will become the Mafia's main killer. (01)
Informant: Selects one person per round and the target's job will be revealed to the informant only. (02)
Agent: Selects one person per round and the target's police record will be changed from a no to a yes or vice versa. (03)
Mortician: The Mafia's personal doctor, he can select one person to save per round. (04)
Ninja: Selects one person to kill every second round but his target requires two people saving him in order to survive. (05)

    Neutral team jobs:
Rogue: An ex-Mafia member wanted by both the Mafia and the cops. Despite not being a current member of the Mafia he'll still show up as a yes when a cop checks his records. He can select one person per round to kill. (06)
Hitman: Is given a target he must kill. If the hitman kills his target before he (hitman) is voted off or killed, he wins. (07)

    Citizen team jobs:
Sheriff: Checks one person per round and if they are part of the Mafia or the Rogue they will show up as a yes. (08)
FBI Agent: Checks one person per round and if they are part of the Mafia or the Rogue then the FBI agent will shoot them in an attempt to kill them. (09)
Deputy: Can arrest one person per round. The arrested player is not able to vote or perform his action for the next round. (10)
Detective: Discovers the jobs of dead and voted off players. (17)

Senator: His vote is worth 2 votes. (11)
Judge: If there is a tie during voting, his vote is the tiebreaker. (12)
Lobbyist: Can select one person during voting and all the votes on that player will be nullified (player can select himself). (13)

Doctor: Chooses one person per round to save (can select himself) (14)
Nurse: Chooses one person per round to save (cannot select himself) (15)

    Other citizen jobs:
Bodyguard: Saves one person per round. If that person is targeted then the bodyguard will take the bullet for him and die but win. If the bodyguard dies without saving anyone he doesn't get the win. The person saved is also given the identity of the killer. (16)

Citizen: Does nothing but vote during the voting round. (any number other than the previous numbers)

I guess thats about it. If there's anything that needs clearing up just ask me. Just seeing if there's any interest in this at the moment though. A bit more complicated than Werewolf but IMO alot more interesting.

    Winners of game 1:
Citizens: Fungus and Jabba + Snake (Bodyguard win)

    Winners of game 2:
    Mafia: sik_slogga, Snake, Jabba, Luffers

    I'll join.

Nah, if there's less people I'll just cut some jobs out and if there's more they'll be citizens who do nothing but vote (like the villagers in Werewolf).

5 Mafia team members is too many for people for 16 players anyway.

Once enough people sign up I'll use a random number generator to assign you a job based on the number in the brackets in the job description.
