nah he had knee clean ups straight after the game before the bye. was always pencilled in for next week but he's been training so who knows. I wouldn't risk him......but I wouldn't play fucking foster either.
Your second row selections have been consistently weird this season. Right back to signing Edwards to play there in the first place. Why any club with Shaun Fensom and too many props to count would sign Joel Edwards is fucking beyond me; so many clubs are crying out for a player like him in the middle third and he's playing out of position at Canberra ffs. Hasn't been terrible in all fairness but I still think Thompson and Picker are better than him at the role he's playing.. and Foster is just a massive wtf.
Yeah agreed, I think he was bought to fill the gap for Picker who is meant to be offloaded after this season but now that Thompson has signed with the Dragons it's really backfired so I'd say both will now be retained. Also Thompson has been dogged by injury which has meant Edwards has leapfrogged Picker and is why he is starting, which is just mind boggling.
TIM Mannah could be in line for a shock return for Parramatta's NRL clash with North Queensland on Saturday. The prop, who has been one of the few players to stand out for the struggling Eels this season, limped off against Penrith on Monday with a suspected broken leg. However, scans earlier this week cleared Mannah of any serious injury and the swelling has reduced dramatically around the affected area. Mannah did not join in training with his teammates this morning but was put through a fitness test by the Eels' medical staff. A decision will be made before the game about Mannah's availability.
Loko injured his leg after being tackled by Sam McKendry on Monday but eased through a final training run at Parramatta Stadium. "I am not too sure if I'll be in the team yet, as they need to see how I pull up tomorrow,'' Loko said. "It feels OK, but we will just have to wait and see as I got a real bad cork in my leg"
Mullen had his knee cleaned up after the game before the bye too. Managed to get back to play last week's game.
I had a dream last night that Wighton played 5/8th and Penrith beat the Roosters 57-12... a nightmare really.
Matt Cooper out for St George; Green is his replacement. Get your money on Jamie Lyon or David Williams for first try down the right.
Chee Kam and Buhrer are both injured. I'm really surprised that with so many forwards out injured/suspended that they've still decided to play Symonds in the centres. Esi Tonga and Peter Hiku are not great players but I thought one of them might've at least been included on the bench to give Symonds a stint in the back row.
