    QRL says no. :p

    Logan =/= Brisbane

If we merge those teams into regions and districts as per CRL and Queensland rep cricket, you get:

    New South Wales

    Canberra & Bidgee (Groups 9, 20) - 39
    Penrith - 32
    Parramatta - 29
    Greater Southern (Groups 6, 7, 16) - 24
    Western Suburbs - 23
    Oxley (Groups 2, 3, 4) - 23
    Central Hunter (CC & Group 21) - 23
    Newcastle - 22
    Northern (Group 1, 18, 19) - 20
    Illawarra - 18
    South Sydney - 18
    Cronulla-Sutherland - 15
    St George - 14
    Balmain - 10
    Manly-Warringah - 10
    Canterbury-Bankstown - 9
    Western (Group 10, 11) - 9
    Eastern Suburbs - 5

    Queensland

    Southeast Queensland -72
    Wide Bay - 19
    Northern Division - 28
    South West Division - 15
    Central Division - 9

Merging Brisbane and Gold Coast seems so odd to me based on that. Must work at juniors/lower levels though I guess.

Should join Logan, Ipswich, Inala, Woodridge etc together, and then earthquake the shit out of them.

Would just kill a shitload of bogans....

    And me

FYI, Raymond Terrace only moved into the Upper Hunter a couple of years ago. All the juniors still play in the Newcastle competition as far as I'm aware.

If it helps with merging? Balmain and St George comps merge into one at like under 13s. Well at least they used to, not sure if they still do.

What's the deal with Upper Hunter anyway? I see no real reason for them to be separate from Newcastle. At CRL rep level they actually merge with the Central Coast in order to play against Newcastle - animosity there?

  9. Cribbage RG Cribb

I'll probably just merge St George with Illawarra and Wests with Balmain. Just to be different. ;)

    Fair enough.

    Lineups pleaseeeeeeeeeee.

It's just too far away. Travelling from Swansea to Muswellbrook or Scone would just be stupid, especially at a junior level.

  13. Incey BC Jacobs

The drive from Leichhardt to North Ryde was ridiculous at times, took like 20mins.

  14. Cribbage RG Cribb

Still figuring out how to combine the teams tbh.

Canterbury, Cronulla, Easts and Manly need to gagf. :p

  15. Cribbage RG Cribb

Is Scone really closer to the Central Coast than Newcastle though? Must say I don't know the area really well.

  16. Speirz DG Speirs

 Not at all. It's roughly halfway between Newcastle and Tamworth.

  17. Cribbage RG Cribb

I thought so. Why do they combine with the Central Coast for rep footy then? Central Hunter Power play as one team against Newcastle and the other five regions.

  18. Speirz DG Speirs

No idea really, I imagine it's got something to do with the strength of the various sides.

EDIT: And Wyong play in the Newcastle competition at senior level as well, the same way Raymond Terrace play in the Upper Hunter.

    North Brisbane Devils

I spit Brisbane into North and South depending on which side of the CBD each junior club was on. Worked out surprisingly even in numbers, but perhaps not so much on quality.

It's amazing that there could be such a difference between South and North Brisbane despite the fact that they've produced the same amount of current professional rugby league players. South would wipe the floor with North.
