    Nah. They should do better.

Elliott is the only thing which can fuck them up.

No idea why Penrith is being underrated so much.

  2. Wilson SB Wilson

    That is correct.

You under-rated them this much all last year

  4. Lukic L Popovic

    Fuck that.

Penrith this year > Penrith last year. If they play Taumata, then it's >>>>>>>>>>>>

They were a pretty young team last year, everyone will be a year older, better etc. As long as Elliott doesn't fuck up with his tactics like you said and plays Taumata, they'll be a top 4 side imo.

Sure losing Pritchard hurts, but if you compare what he offers, in comparison to what Nathan Smith offers, it's not a massive difference. Smith brings stability and versatility and Pritchard brings a good run and offload every 3 or 4 games.

lol Johnson can barely pass. He passed it twice a match at Melbourne and all of a sudden he was a distributor.

    fmd.

    You're flogging a dead horse.

Do you even watch Storm matches? With all the bullshit you've been spinning about Johnson and Lowrie, I am really starting to wonder.

You've been flogging the Johnson-attack argument for years now. Instead of trying to defend your Waterhouse claim, you shifted focus and attention away from it, and for obvious reasons. It's a silly claim. If he's brilliant, then brilliance just got downgraded.

You still haven't provided any evidence for any of the assertions and opinions you've made about Johnson.

I think Elliott will fuck up with afew bad selections and Penrith over achieved last year. Finishing second only to bow out in straight sets doesn't help them and their second was one loss away from 5th?(can't exactly remember).

I also think a lot of the other sides are stronger than they were last year whereas Penrith are weaker, Pritchard although inconsistent was a big part of some of Penrith's wins. Losing him and Cooper (who I think was Penrith's most under rated player) and replacing them with Yileen Gordon and a more or less unknown in Worrincy has significantly weakened the squad.

Origin may well hit Penrith harder than in years past with a lot of players in the frame for selection Petero, Jennings, Gordon, Lewis and to a lesser extent Grant, Bell and Waterhouse. (I'm not saying they should all be picked, I'm saying that they're in the frame).

Add to that that we'll be seeing Purtell in the side somewhere and have no real cover in the halves if Walsh goes down (knowing Elliot we'd see a Burns/Tamata combo) and I think just missing the 8 is a pretty realistic view.

Lets not forget the genuine plan that is 9 men in the defensive line and no lock in attack. That surely can't end well.

Johnsons attack is shit. Case closed, move on

Big call, but i reckon Taumata needs to step up for the Panfers to go places. Graham was pretty solid, had it in spades over Burns, but Burns continually gets picked

Nobody here ever said any different. If you're going to join a discussion, try to assess the context in which it is being held, and recall what has already been said.

You've added virtually nothing to this discussion so far.

I could see the logic with Burns, continually picking him did get them to 2nd. I do wonder though if the season would've been any different with a creative 5/8th and Purtell dead.

Trust me the regular bench players don't get any better for Johnson's case they're usually attacking players like FPN & Gillett.

I'd hate for you to be my lawyer.

You're sitting there trying to suggest that only starting players count as regulars. Pretty fucking stupid thing to say.

The point has already been refuted. Or would you care to explain why you think, if you do, that Lowrie is better than Johnson in attack? Or Nick Emmett? Or Gary Warburton?

Neither you, nor Julian, have a leg to stand on, in either ludicrous argument.

  15. Julian BJ Taylor

My reason is that I can watch Johnson play football without the need for a bottle of KY and a pack of Kleenex.

  16. Magic AJ Parker

No I didn't I admitted in my most recent post, the post that you just quoted that sure they count but the majority of them are attacking players who will only weaken his position even worse.

What point did I make? I drew up a list and agreed that it was pretty hard to find anyone just as bad or worse. The fact that you named Emmett a player who didn't even play two thirds of the season as a backrower (your criteria) just further proves that.

    And yet the debate continues

  18. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

You didn't admit anything. You passed over it and went on the attack about something else so you didn't have to. Either way it's incidental and I couldn't really give a fuck.

I didn't say you made a point. I was talking about Julian's. I agree it's hard to find others who are worse. But we did. I named Emmett because he was the first bench player that came to my mind.

You first claimed starters are the regulars, which is nonsense. Then you claimed it only gets worse for Johnson if we include bench players. That too is nonsense.

There's a good reason why Julian isn't even attempting to defend his claim - He is trolling.

I'd take Lowrie ahead of Johnson in attack. Warburton.. probably not. But he won't be playing regularly this year.
