Meh, why not eh? Lets see what we've got here. Relevant parties to fill in this form: (if the answer to #1 is no, don't bother) 1. Do you have significant ties to Ireland (birthplace/residency/heritage)? 2. Would you have pledged your allegiance to Ireland when you joined CricSim if it was an option? 3. Would you leave your current province to play for Ireland, given the chance, for reasons other than competition for places? I was sort of against this when people started talking about it in the Asia thread, mainly because we don't have any 'true' Irishmen here; it'd purely be a heritage team. But I thought I'd at least see what we had. Stevil and Fan09 would automatically be in this, as Ireland is their current link to GB, I do believe (and yes I know Ireland isn't technically part of GB - the team should've been called UK in really, but anyway..). I think Hunter would be interested, and I think I saw some posts from Athlai and Phlegm about it, although I doubt the they'd leave NZ.
My Dads side of the family are Irish, from Kilkenny. I would consider it, don't think im going to get a run in the NZ side anytime soon tbh.
tbh. Going to assume #2 would've been a no as well. Reckon you're right in the frame for NZ atm anyway tbh. Should be in the one day team and have played FC cricket for them recently.
Let's give this a go... 1. Family heritige for sure, it's where my family got our family last name. 2. Yes 3. Yes
A side note but in the extremely unlikely event of this ever happening, I reckon GB should be renamed England. Callum can suck it; he supports England in cricket anyway.
So you feel closer ties to Ireland than NSW Country? ITSTL. You do realise NSW have split and you're guaranteed a game either way right? Reckon this team will be comfortably > Asia if they can get 11. It'd be a bit of a cheat team though; Asia has players that don't belong anywhere else. Still, ITSTL.
Yeah, it's good you did, because if Ireland play an exhibition match against some other shit **** without actually becoming a proper province you'll be eligible for it.
