    To make 200m in 55 minutes and average 11m per run in a GF, for a prop, is unbelievably good. Then you've got Sam playing with a fracture which you could excuse him for not playing well afterwards but he was titanic too.

    Together they both contributed the most to the win and took the game away from the Dogs after the momentum had swung back Canterbury's way. At 6 all, Sam comes up with the clever grab on the grubber kick 5m out from his own line. Then he produces the offload in that set to get Souths in great field position. And George comes through with the barnstorming run to score under the posts. This brief 60 second passage of play is what won them the game. If the Dogs score after all that territorial dominance Souths had they may have deflated to the point of capitulation.

    It was the single most pivotal point in the match, regardless of all the dominance the Bunnies had. Both George and Sam were deserving of the CCM and a great case could be made for both. I'd give it marginally to George.

    I said during the game that the only prop who is comparable in his hit ups is Matt Scott. Given George is arguably still to reach his peak he's the most valuable front rower in the comp imo. Almost rather us lose Sam than George tbh

    I think it's really important that they're continually used as 50~ minute props that ram it up the guts, introducing ball playing or longer fitness will go against them IMO.

    I can't believe I for about 5 mins there thought we had a chance. We were getting dominated from the outset and apart from a small period in the second half never looked like being the better team.

    Also Graham had an absolute shocker from what I saw.
