Anybody here notice if any team scores more penalty goals than usual? Any opposition attract more (i.e Cronulla, seeing as they often have low-scoring affairs)? When we get to around Round 5 and on.. when the top teams clash in the big game affairs.. maybe I'm wrong but usually they score a penalty goal first.. do the odds even change that much to reflect this? Do the odds change much when it's speculated it's going to rain?
Sportsbet.. they had all the penalty goals for every team and game at $11 when I was looking.. I'll go double-check now.
That's pretty generous, odds usually fluctuate depending on who's most likely to win the game not sure about weather.... haven't really payed close attention tbh.
Yeah I know that . They both chose to do the penalty though. What the thread was all about. I doubt the decision made them lose.
Dragons penalty goal first scoring play is always a gun option. They always take it when offered and it pays $10+. They do change the odds a little for teams it's more likely with but not enough really; it's a good ploy. I do it every week.
Is that the only team you've noticed an advantage with so far? I'll definitely be having a look at rainy games, thinking there might often be a bit of a discrepancy where I can pick up very good odds.
Also was thinking other factors.. such as day games should attract it less perhaps in winter as there's no dew factor/faster track/more open play.
Warriors as well. Both Warriors and Dragons had the first scoring play penalty goal five times last year out of 24 regular season games. So if you bet on either (or both) those teams to do it every week and they were always paying $11, you'd have multipiled your money by 2.29. As long as you make sure you bet every week and it happens more than twice in the season for the team you bet on, you'll make a profit. Again assuming they don't change the odds.
